Additional comments and observations
The instructor was: Toby is really down-to-earth and approachable. I came away really liking him. The atmosphere was: It was a bit awkward. I was sitting next to the utensils for the store eating area, so customers were reaching around me. It was distracting to be out in the open, like being in a fishbowl with glass on two sides and open on the other two sides. I had imagined that we'd be in a room. It's easier to focus and relax. Complexity of the recipes: Too easy for a $55 and 1.5 hour class. The food was: It tasted a lot lighter and potentially healthier than the fried rice at a restaurant. I really enjoyed that. It wasn't what I expected. The skills you learned were: I learned a little, perhaps, about oil and sauces, but the recipe had very common ingredients, so I didn't learn much. I enjoyed myself and had fun: I enjoyed Toby himself the most, particularly being able to walk around the store with him with full access to ask him any questions.

Additional comments and observations
The instructor was: But knowledgeable The atmosphere was: Relaxed, fun but we did learn. I wear hearing aids and sometimes difficult to hear but not as bad as some of the classes I have taken. Complexity of the recipes: Not complex after we learned about the different ingredients, especially liked the store tour. You are both correct, sometimes confronting an aisle of only Soy sauce and what to buy, leads me back to Italian The food was: It was excellent, will definitely make many times The skills you learned were: The added knife skills made one think, hey I can do this! I enjoyed myself and had fun: I will definitely come again, interested in the day classes. However, most people want evening, and you are close to me, if I don't have someone to pick me up and need to drive myself.

Additional comments and observations
The instructor was: He was GREAT! He kept the show moving right along and interesting. I appreciated his personal views on some of the foods, spices, etc that were used. Very informative and practical. The atmosphere was: The class moved right along and was very relaxed. The tea & water that was served to us at the start of the class was a nice touch. Complexity of the recipes: The Fried Rice recipe appeared to be average to complex for me. In the class however, the recipe seemed so much simpler in the doing. Or, maybe the Chef was that good at making it seem effortless. Hmm ... I shall be finding out tomorrow night! The food was: Excelent! The flavors were superb. So much better than what I have had for many years. The skills you learned were: The food preparation was very informative to watch in addition to the chef's supporting explanations on the tricks to make it easy. I enjoyed myself and had fun: Time flew by and I had a GREAT time!

Additional comments and observations
The atmosphere was: This location has a lot of extra noise and distractions. It would be nice if it were just a little more private. Complexity of the recipes: The recipte was easy to follow along. It would be easy to make if I had all the ingrediants. The food was: The main dish was good. The added vegetable dish was not very good. The skills you learned were: Since I have taken Chinese cooking classes before the information was not new to me. I did learn new ways to cut garlic. I enjoyed myself and had fun: The class was ok. I wanted to learn more and thought we would see more dishes cooked. Questions were answered and eveyone seemed to be learning.
