The instructor was: Toby is quite knowledgeable. I would have liked it if he asked everyone before the class started something like "what kind of cooking are you all doing currently (e.g. how many hours do you spend in the kitchen, etc.), and what are you looking to get out of this class?", then mention ways the recipe could be modified based on our responses.
The atmosphere was: Friendly chef, but it seems like the class participants could have been more engaged.
Complexity of the recipes: Although the number of ingredients were manageable, the amount of food preparation required seemed excessive (at least for the kind of cooking I do).
The food was: It was very flavorful, but the chicken was too rich for my taste. I would have been interested to see how the recipe would have worked with chicken breast meat.
The skills you learned were: The store tour re: use of spices was helpful for me.
I enjoyed myself and had fun: Yes, but the class including store tour took much longer than I anticipated.
